Thanks for this update! I now have more confidence going forward with building more ebay affiliate sites. I had been thinking, oh no! This is going to be another hit by ebay to my bottom line. So thanks again for raising my confidence level!

The problem with this, is they can smart price you just like adsense with no explanation. Ebay wont change their affiliate program to pay out more, they change to save more money.

    Hi Joel

I was very worried this morning after I read two emails from Ebay about their changes to the EPN. I’m now a lot happier after watching your video. Kudos to you for jumping on this so quickly and putting my mind to rest.

By the way, I bought your minisiteformula course months ago after it was recommended to me by John Jonas (replacemyself.com) and it’s a real eye opener.

Some of the things you share are simply astonishing and you hold nothing back which I really like.

I learnt some really cools things particularly with regards to datafeeds and applying to get into the Ebay Partner Network. I followed your advice to the letter and was approved in 7 days.

    All the very best!

    Hey Peter,

You are correct that they could adjust payouts without explanation but…

…they have already been doing this for a year now… when they introduced Quality tracking and multi level ACRU payouts. Some people started getting $1 ACRUS and others jumped to $28, $40 and higher….

Ebay needs and wants affiliates. I believe they don’t have as much of a strong-hold like Google had when they introduced Quality pricing. They are smart enough to know that if they turn away GOOD affiliates it will hurt the bottom line.

    Joel,

I bought your course and I’m having fun creating mini sites in my spare time – I have to say you are one the best teachers of this stuff out there. I love how humble you are and not so guru like.

    thanks again.

    Hey Joel,

I received an email from the ebay partner network telling about this change. My first reaction was, oh no! an ebay slap.. However, your blog post was an encouragement. My problem is that currently, my ebay sites are down so basically I have a dormant account. Would you suggest start building sites again with the new changes in mind or wait until just prior to the change.

    Thanks for the update.
    Jim

    Joel,

    Great video!!!

What program or software did you use to record this screen capture video along with your web camera?

    Most sincerely,

    John

    Hi John Y,

Camtasia is what I use. I also have a Canon GL2 video camera which is a little high end for this.
