It’s March 9th. How are you doing on your goals you set back in January?
I’d like to get a discussion going on here on what goals you have set and your progress.
Let’s keep the goals related to Internet Marketing and Making Money Online.
Just post in the comments below and perhaps we can all help each other out!
I’ll try to respond to as many as possible!
Take care,
Joel Peterson Hey!

I’ll share two of my goals with you and what I’m doing.
Goal #1 – Hold a Boot Camp on “How To Make Money with Webinars”
Action Taken – I set a date for April 23rd and 24th to have 12
people come to my office to hold my first ever “How To Make Money
with Webinars” Boot Camp.
Last Thursday I did held a webinar all about the business model.
If you didn’t get a chance to watch it take a look now:
==> http://joelsnews.com/a/webinar/index.htm
I taught some priceless information so I hope you have a chance to
take a look and give me your feedback.
Goal #2 – Open up an office in The Philippines to expand my
outsourcing business.
Action Taken – Tomorrow I jump on a plane that will take me to The
Philippines where I will be opening up my new office in a place
called Alabang near Manila.
I’m super excited to be able to expand my business out there. I
started out with home workers 18 months ago and it has worked out
so well this is the next logical step. Two of my original
employees out there are playing a big role in getting setup. It’s
been a great experience.
I’ll start a little mini-blog of my adventures cause I know some my
be interested in doing the same. (I’ll post that link in the next
week or so)
Some of my goals for 2010 is to create my own product. I have completely finished my Ebook and now I just need to create the upsell, videos, copy and website. Hoping to launch at the end of April, beginning of May.
My other goal is to build my aweber list to 5,000. This is one of the reasons why I’m creating the product.
Make at least $10k monthly. Very possible once my email list has been built up.
Excellent goal David! You can do it. Keep me updated on your progress!
Back in January, my #1 goal was to make money online.
Action taken:
I started searching the internet for ways to make money online.
I was introduced to network marketing.
I bought a domain name and started a blog.
I started using some of Mike Dillards ideas and tools.
Although the learning curve is steep for me, I’m not giving up.
I’m trying to figure out how to set up lead capture pages and other tools so I can begin to build a list.
I’m still learning how to do affiliate marketing.
I’m looking for a mentor wo would’nt mind working with me and show me “exactly step by step” how to apply these tools to help me in this new adventure. While understanding that I have a very small and sometimes nonexisting budget.
Hello Joel,
First, let me tell you that I listened to a “traffic” webinar that you did awhile back and it was nothing short of AWESOME!! I learned alot and really enjoyed listening to you speak. Your knowledge and passion for internet marketing is obvious. I’m a real newbie and quite honestly I have become so discouraged with all the “miracle products” out there that at times I just feel this market is just to cut-throat. I have thought of outsourcing as a way to get my business up and running. I also am a student of PROSPER and in there ecommerce coaching program. There is just so much to learn!! Anyway, if your ever in Michigan having a seminar or traffic-bootcamp, please let me know!! Ha Ha Debbie
Thanks Debbie! Keep it up!
Joel
sorry to say i’m still aimimg. should reach by end
of month. which is, making money (not yet)will this month!!!!
Back in January my #1 goal was to conquer the internet. By that I mean find the right program or system that actually works. I have a few I’m working with and although I have not gotten big results I believe they will come. I am still working on my Associates Degree and until I am financially able to quit work I will graduate in May of 2011.
Goals in January? No, I don’t think so. Back in January I had become extremely cynical after graduating with around $100K in student debts. (It took me a few tries to get it done) And after six months of job-hunting and only one interview and my credit card debt stacking up and my student loans coming due, I was in no mood to believe I cold accomplish anything meaningful in 2010.
I repented in February, though.
My goal became to learn PPC marketing and make a living substantial enough to allow me to work in my profession because I want to, not because I have to to pay the bills. (If I were to quantify my goal, It would be to reach $5000 income per month with affiliate marketing and my own product which I have begun research on)
Action taken! In Feb, and against my instinct, I scraped together the last of my credit and savings and started to apply it to affiliate marketing and I am now learning about mini-sites.
I haven’t turned a profit yet, but I can at least see the dim light of hope ahead! I know it’s not what you were after, Joel, but I wanted to say thanks in advance for giving me the knowledge through your incredible blog that will allow me to surpass my goal this year.
Joel,
Thanks for the kick in the pants, but I am really busy trying to get my new stuff launched so I will refrain from a long winded explanation.
Thanks again,
P.S. I like the kick just to make sure I working harder than ever!
Hi Joel,
I have failed to set goals but do very much appreciate your concerns and hope to get into action soon!! You set a very good example. Mike
Hi Joel,
I purchased your minisite course and am learning WordPress. I also purchased a subscription to datafeedr and some themes from iThemes. My goal is to get some minisites up and monetize them.
It has been harder than I thought. I suffered a few financial setbacks and the learning curve is higher than I thought.
Maybe though I am making it more complicated and overwhelming thinking I have to learn PPC, Photoshop, copywriting, etc all at once?
I’m bootstrapping my business so as you can imagine it can be tight putting things together, especially when I attend events like your webinars and realize there is no way I can afford those products (yet). However, I really like what I am learning and I look forward to each day.
Have a safe trip there and back to the Philippines. Say hi to Prince and the others. I’m looking forward to hearing more about your outsourcing business when you get home.
For a year I have wanted to continue with Joel Peterson’s “Mini Site Formula”, but had gotten stuck on some of the technical stuff. Today (!) I spent all day and got “unstuck”– a HUGE thing for me:) Thanks, Joel!
Well, in January my only resolution was not to make a resolution – that way it was instantly broken and I didn’t have to worry about it.
However, I was bound and determined to pick myself up after a nasty Google slap in October. Met Joel last November in Atlanta and that whole experience kept me positive. I have just gotten my first mini site up and running. Still need to do some SEO but it looks promising. It is a combination of Joel’s course and another. No further luck with Yahoo and MSN with PPC.
Biggest boost I had was when my son teamed up with me (yes, that is him a few comments above.) Now we spend several hours per day helping each other stay on track and making things work.
My goal was just to get some campaigns up and running – which I have done. Now if I could just figure out how to make money with them.
Thanks Joel – have a safe trip.
My goals seem to have a very flexible end. I am nearly there and then I see/find something that will improve or add to what I’m actually doing and so I include that as well.
Probably would be better off if I completed the set agenda and then added the extras.
But the extras have added value to my technical capabilities and knowledge; both for myself and for my subscribers, so is that too bad an outcome? I don’t think it is but what do others think?
dear master peterson ill tell you what a ride it has been like I mentioned on the webinar I started wondering if I could succeed. my first venture was herbalife and I didnt do any ppc untill your webinar [new to internet biz]still not 1 sale to date even with ppc.am now involved with many co.I assumed my 1st sale would be the start to a wonderful life that It would then b 2 etc.Rocky 3, Mask to mention only 2they said when your dream dies you die.Im still here1
I want to do webinars but missed yours and the sie to click stops about 15 minutes into it and makes it start over. Is there any way i can get the info? I did a webinar last year for a national company, they hosted it. It sold out and they made over $10,000 from 3 webinars I did for them. I only got the “leads”! I want to do my own, HELP! Thank you! Cindi
I am intrigued with internet marketing… made a goal to try it this year. I have tried to do it myself…. but have not made much progress and spent much on packages and failed tries . It has dawned on me that I might be more successful joining an experienced team ….

Hi Joel,
I have my goals.
But in this time I found myself in situation without any income, big debt (30 000 USD). I ran my business but main invoices weren’t paid from 3rd sides..and I became almost homeless. I have spouse and 2year son, we live in Europe, Czech Republic. What do you advice to me Joel, please?
Bob
Hi Joel,
thanks for the reminder, time to set new goals. We are doing pretty well on ours, we have created our products and had them tested by various people, we have our main website up and running, and now it’s time to do all the traffic driving side of the business, develop the training videos that go with the guides (it’s not internet marketing training, it’s an email solution) and get the testimonials and use cases documented and working for us.
One of the things we’ve been afraid of doing is using pushy sales techniques, it’s all very well to know that you have a great product that will help literally millions of people but if these people don’t get that extra push to try it then I know most won’t!
So I need to set a new goal of writing and testing one of those sales letters that I hate but that I know seem to work! If you have any tips on this I’d love to hear them.
thanks for the rev up,
Kerry

Hi! Joel,
My goal for this year is first learn the fundamentals of marketing, find a right market for a right product and work as hard as anybody and by end of January 2011 be working full time in marketing which is what I do love. So to accomplish it I will start in April the Smart Beginning Home Study Semminar with Ken McCarthy
then learn good the PPC which I also love with Perry Marshall and from you and from there take it.I´m very confidence that I will do well.
Blessings and Prosperity be yours!
Orestes
Joel,
My goal is to develope mini sites through your minisite formula. I purchased it. I am doing it all myself with my son’s help. We have been moving along at a slow but nice pace. We got stuck and I sent you my problem but never heard back. I am still stuck.
There was an add-on for Worpress that you recommended in the minisite formula for templates for blogs that enabled pictures. That template is no longer available. Which do you now recommend?
Hi, Joel! Loved your webinar on giving webinars! You surely are a good presenter, and I didn’t hear one single “um”! I would love to take your training next month.
I am working on my first e-book–scared silly of having taken that on. I will have to promote it through a blog (never done that) and tweeting (never done that) and working through my sucess team (talk to them every day). I am also a Passions Into Profits coach-in-training, hoping to launch that business this year, too.
Thank you again for your really great help!

Joel,
My goal is I want to earn my first 1000 within 7 days in Content Network.
I think you can help me as you are really expert.
My problem is I do not know how to write good ads and convert to image ads. How to change the ads if I already have some ads making money in Search Network.
Also for placement targeting, I do not know what sites is best.
Finally I am fear of losing money as I am in huge debt already.
I know you have a great software but I cannot afford at this moment.
Hope get some idea from you.
David
Hi Joel
I’m still in the rut where I have been from the start I am stuck waiting for the light to come on in my brain. i’m over 12000 dollars in debt. my number one goal is get back to where I don’t owe anybody, after that I would like to get some extra income coming in to help make life easier.
Regards Ronald
Thanks for this very positive question. I was recently hustled by schemes from a couple previous mentors selling my name. Part of the scheme, before they asked for a lot of money was for me to write my goals, which I did. What a trial to look my face in the mirror and reaffirm what I want out of life. I will attempt to share some of these goals in abbreviated format here. Its like a magic potion: If you write it, it will happen. We become the author of our life:
Financial Goals:
1st 3 months – $5000 – 5000
2nd 3 months – $5000 – 15000 – learning curve
3rd 3 months – $10000 – 30000
4th 3 months – $15000 – 45000
Scenarios Worst$35000 – $95000 Best First Year
I also wrote 3 Charitable Goals
and 11 personal goals.
I had 6 reasons why the scamers should let me buy their program. Then I began to really thunk. I had 6 questions for the scamers. Actually, the scamers were good, smooth, convincing, and got me to formulate my goals. Thanks to the scamers for asking. Thank you Joel for this opportunity for sharing. Actually, I kept this very brief, because I don’t want your eyes to glaze over.
