Saw this in my inbox today…….
Looks like eBay is cutting out the Singapore, Hong Kong and India affiliate programs.
These networks haven’t been as profitable anyways. Looks like they want to focus on getting more sellers….. which is great. I’m sure they will bring the programs back someday if things grow in those countries.
Having been to India many times, I can tell you that place is exploding! Think of the U.S. about 7 years ago….. people were saying stuff like, “Why would I want to buy something on the Internet when I can just go to the store.” That’s what a lot of people think over there…… but it will change.
The other point I wanted to make to all you affiliate marketers out there is that I’ve always been a firm believer that you really need to spread your affiliate efforts. The Ebay Partner Network is a GREAT program…… in many ways, it has been more profitable than Adsense for me….. but to put ALL of my efforts into EPN would be suicide.
The truth of the matter is Affiliate programs come and go…… they change all the time. As long as you can keep a nice balance of what you push, you should be safe.
Put all your eggs in one basket and you could go bust.
