My Student Does $14,000 On His Second Webinar – A Case Study

by Joel on June 30, 2010

A few months ago you may have remembered I held an event at my office called the Webinar Sales Formula Bootcamp.  One of my students Dave Foran contacted me the other day and let me know that on his second webinar they converted at 24% to 80 or so people on the webinar!  It was a small group that attended but they still took in over $14,000 in less than 90 minutes.

Today I had Dave record a 20 minute case study video talking about his experience. We would love to get your feedback in the comments below.

How many people would be interested in attending the same Bootcamp Dave attended? I’m thinking I may hold another one sometime this fall.

I would love to pay $15,000 for this training, OUT OF THE EARNINGS that this training enables. Set up a program like this, and you’ll be $15,000 richer for each student who avails themselves of the opportunity! (I paid $30,000 for similar training to turn my clinical practice around…)

Yes if I do another one it will be much cheaper than $15,000….much cheaper.

Let’s just say Dave more than paid for his cost of the seminar with his first webinar he did that only had 30 people on it.

It’s exciting to people follow what you teach and have success. Great job Dave!

Nice video. Thanks, Joel. Have a blast at Lake Powell!

Way to go Dave! Sounds like you’re making all that training you’ve invested in really start to pay off. And you’re getting famous, too.

I’ll check out your blog once you get it going.

First off, congrats Dave for showing us that just doing things can result in success. I’m totally guilty as well of buying the latest and greatest products as well as letting them collect dust on my bookcase :) Luckily I’ve absorbed enough to be successful, hehe but it’s always inspirational to hear stories like yours. Reminds me I need to be consistent with promoting webinars as the conversions as Joel said are better than any other medium.

Thanks Joel for posting this up and count me in for your program in the fall!

Hey Another update…. Here is an email I just got from Dave today…
————————————————————-

Hey Joel:

Thought you would like to see the latest stats from recent webinars. I must say this is
starting to get really fun :-) We are doing very well with our webinars and I want to
thank you for your training and help. This is going waaaay better than I imagined or
thought possible so early in the game.

Here are some quick stats from last Thursday nights wildly successful webinar…

52% of list clicked an email link
22% of JV list registered for webinar
57% of those who registered actually attended the event
79% who showed up stayed for whole 1hr-15min presentation
74% stayed through full sales pitch at the end
66% stayed through full 30 min Q&A
20% of those who came bought!!!

EPC=$7.22

Avg EPC from last 2 webinars: $5.13

I think these are pretty amazing results.

Anyway, I am booked for the next 3 weeks and have several other JVs on the hook.
I think I will have August all booked shortly and will begin to fill September soon I hope.

Thanks

Dave

P. S. Using HighriseHQ and loving it! Another great call…thx

Max EPC $7.94 + continuity…effective EPC = $10.17
Avg conversion rate = 21%
Avg attendance rate = 41%
My biggest earned commission to-date for a single webinar = $18,920

Nice job!

Joel,

Have you decided to do the Webinar Bootcamp? I’ve got a new product for the internet marketing space that I think might do well with webinars, I’d be interested in some training.

Thanks,
Fred
